These Solar Panels Are Simple to Use
Unfold & Set Up
Turn the panel so it points right at the sun. (If you live in the top half of the world, that's usually south.) Tilt the panel so it's at an angle.
💡Tip: A little less than halfway to flat (about 45 degrees) is often the best angle to catch the most sun.
Connect the Panel
Plug the cord right into the special solar plug on your generator. If you are using more than one panel, connect them to each other first (that's called "daisy chain"), and then plug the last cord into the generator.
Power Up
Wait a moment for the sun's power to start charging. Then look at the screen on your generator. It should show the watts (which is how much power is coming in). This means it's working!
💡Tip: You can try adjusting the angle of the panel towards the sun to make the number of watts as high as possible.

Yes! These solar panels are IP66 certified to be waterproof and dust-tight.
That being said, it is not recommended you expose them to heavy rains or submerge them, which is what “waterproof” typically means. Plus, when it’s raining, there won’t be sun… so leaving them in the rain won’t help you much.
Yes, these solar panels would be affected by an EMP attack, unless they were hardened.
You can hook up to 6 solar panels.
On average, going from 1 panel to 2 panels will cut your generator’s recharge speed in half. Here’s how additional panels affect the Patriot Power Generator’s recharge speeds:
Technically, yes, your panels could get some sun by a window or on a screened porch.However, it’s not recommended. Your panels need full sun in order to deliver a fast charge time, so charging outside in full sun is best.
These NEW 200W solar panels are rainproof and dust-tight (iP66 certified). And while the panels are durable and can withstand some abuse, they may break when not used correctly.
So bring them in if it’s going to storm, wipe them down to make sure they’re not dirty or wet, and use a little WD40 on the rivets and joints to protect them against corrosion. Do not cover them while using them, since that would block the sun.
