4Patriots Great American Road Trip Ep. 2

The 4Patriots Great American Road Trip continues as Cade Courtley and crew leave the red rock cliffs of Moab, Utah, and head over 300 miles to one of the most famous natural landmarks in the world — the Grand Canyon.

This massive canyon, carved by the Colorado River over millions of years, is over a mile deep and stretches for more than 270 miles. It’s one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and a must-see destination for any traveler.

Tonight, we’re camping just half a mile from the canyon’s edge, giving us the perfect spot to enjoy the views and experience off-grid living.

How We Stay Powered in the Wild

Being off-grid doesn’t mean giving up modern comforts. With the right portable power, we can keep our campsite running smoothly without relying on traditional electricity.

The Patriot Power Generator 2000X has been a key part of our trip, making sure essential devices stay powered. This solar-powered generator kept our Freedom Fridge, ChillZone Portable AC, and even a portable fan running through the night. With this setup, we’re not just roughing it—we’re enjoying the convenience of power while being completely off-grid.

Beating the Heat with a Portable AC

Desert temperatures can swing from very hot during the day to chilly at night, so staying comfortable is important. Our ChillZone Portable AC quickly cooled our van to a comfortable 65°F in just an hour. Even better, it ran the entire night on battery power, allowing for restful sleep under the stars.

What We’ve Learned About Off-Grid Camping

Traveling through remote areas means being prepared. Here are some key takeaways from our journey so far:

  • Solar power is a game-changer. The ability to recharge devices using the sun allows us to stay powered anywhere.
  • Portable cooling makes a big difference. Even in a hot environment, a battery-powered AC unit helps create a comfortable sleeping space.
  • Camping near natural wonders is an unforgettable experience. Waking up just steps from the Grand Canyon makes the trip even more special.

This road trip is shaping up to be an incredible adventure, and we’re just getting started. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue exploring America’s most breathtaking landscapes.
