PATRIOT POWER GENERATOR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
So, now you have some good information about run times our generator can provide on some common appliances. But you may still have some questions about it.
Below you will see some of the most commonly asked questions we get about the Patriot Power Generator. Perhaps your question is among them?
Q: What does the Patriot Power Generator charge?
Lighting, refrigerators, power phones, laptops and almost any device that you can plug into a normal wall outlet. For the Patriot Power Generator 1800, you can plug in items up to 1,800 watts.
Q: What about medical devices?
This will depend on the item. We recommend asking one of our customer service representatives, as they will be able to assist in figuring out how much power can be run for how long.
Q: Can this power my travel trailer?
Absolutely! Most campers have a power cord. You will need to get an adapter to change the plug from the camper version to a standard household plug, which will go into the generator. This will power your camper, but we do not recommend using it for your AC units.
Q: How does it recharge?
You can recharge it via solar panels using the sun, or our charging plug that will work with any standard wall outlet.
Q: Can I charge this indoors?
Unfortunately, your generator will not charge indoors via the sun, as most windows in homes and apartments have UV treatments on them. The PPG needs UV light in order to charge the unit.
Q: How much does it weigh?
Forty pounds, compared to other solar-powered models that run over 100 pounds, or gas-generated ones that can leak, produce fumes or be used only outdoors.
AND HERE ARE SOME PATRIOT POWER GENERATOR REVIEWS:
“Last weekend, I decided to use my Patriot Power Generator as the only power source for running an outdoor emergency ham radio shack at the field day event, not knowing what to expect. I fully charged it the night before the event took place. I was totally shocked at the capacity and performance… Its indicator never ran below 4 out of 5 bars! We ran it for 9 hrs solid, only shutting down due to an inbound storm. Every ham operator asked for information on the Patriot Power Generator. The proof of its capability was before their eyes!” -Norman F.
“I like the convenience of having the Patriot Power Generator near me to run a fan, charge my devices, and being portable. If you’re at the beach, or out camping, you’ll have portable power. I’ve had mine for about a year and I recharge/top off the battery about once a month. You don’t have to live in sunny California to get solar power, it works even on cloudy days. I’m so glad I bought this product. My neighbors ask me about it, when they see me topping it off, and I’m spreading the word.” – Rick
In an emergency, having a ready source of portable power is the difference between comfort and struggle. And if you make the wrong choice, it can mean the difference between life and death.
If you haven't taken steps to protect your family from an extended power interruption – whether the result of Mother Nature or the hands of man – you're playing with fire.
