Tom's Remarkable Sun Kettle Survival Story

In the blink of an eye, Tom’s pleasant ocean cruise turned into a survival situation.

When his boat broke down on the remote Caribbean island of Little Inagua, he wasn’t sure what he was going to do. After all, this little piece of paradise may be beautiful, but the one thing it doesn’t have? Fresh water.

Fortunately, Tom had a secret survival gadget he packed away in his “man overboard” kit that became his saving grace.

The Sun Kettle!

Using this incredible little device to boil sea water, Tom “MacGyvered” his Sun Kettle into a desalination device using some tape, a plastic bottle top, and a copper condensation wire.

For the next 3 days, he had enough fresh water to survive on while he waited for rescue. Now, he makes sure he has a Sun Kettle for every ocean excursion he takes.

Tom’s story of survival is remarkable, and it proves an important point...

The Sun Kettle is powerful enough to help change the outcome of a desperate situation.

I have the sun kettle. I just received it a few weeks ago. I finally got the water in it to boil. I accidentally left it out in the sun longer than I normally do. I was worried that the vacuum tube would explode. It did not, I am sure it is due to the pressure relieve valve. I did notice the top was had a little water in it. Were the plug is. I unscrewed the red knob on the top and poured it back into the container. That is when I realized that it distills water too. This will come in handy. Thank-you so much for such a great product.

This man essentially used that soon kettle to distill water. How long can someone live on distilled water?
