    I used my Power Cell out of the box to charge my iPhone. Charged it as fast as it would if I used the wall electricity. Haven't used it for anything else yet, but it will charge laptop and lantern and probably other items. Have not had to replenish the Power Cell yet - it came ready to go, which was great. I think these are a good thing to have in your arsenal.

The solar power bank keeps phones and small devices charged and recharges from the sun, the flashlight handles light and basic rescue tasks, the filter makes water drinkable, and the food covers meals, so power, light, water and food are all covered in one kit.

It's designed to support one person through the first three days of an emergency, providing roughly 1,600 calories per day from the food kit. Calorie figures are per the kit's design for one person in an emergency; you may want or need more calories per day. See the footnote for details.

Yes. The food kit and food bars are designed to last for 25 years* in proper storage, and the batteries and power bank can be recharged repeatedly. Top off the batteries every 3-6 months so they're ready.

For best results, always protect your food from heat, air and moisture. Avoid prolonged exposure to temps above 75 degrees F. Keep food sealed until ready to eat. Shelf life will vary based on storage conditions.

3. These kits are designed to provide energy and nutrients for one person in stressful emergency situations. They are not intended to be complete caloric replacements during “normal” times. You’ll want to make sure you have additional food items on hand so that in an extended emergency you’ll be able to supplement your daily calorie intake, nutrients and variety with additional food items available on this site, food you have stockpiled in your pantry, fresh produce from your garden, etc. An average adult needs approx. 2,000 calories per day to meet their energy needs. This kit may not provide enough calories for optimal nutrition, especially for an extended period of time, or if you’re pregnant, a child, elderly, or have other health conditions. In order to supplement your daily calorie intake, to add variety or to provide food for more than one person, we offer a number of supplemental products, including food bars, meat packs, fruit and vegetable packs, etc. By combining our kits with these additional products, you can ensure that you have 2,000 calories per day available to you during emergency situations. Usage conditions will impact this estimate (interior temp, exterior temp, appliance age & features, fridge contents, etc.). Basic CPAP estimates are for units without heat, humidity, etc. Full-feature CPAP estimates include those features.
