The Nanomesh filter does not remove all minerals found in water. If your testing methodology uses a TDS (total dissolved solids) meter, you should know that TDS is not an accurate indication of water quality. In fact, the main component of TDS is minerals, like calcium and magnesium. Higher TDS readings often indicate higher levels of trace minerals, which is actually good. The Ultimate Water Filtration System does not use the same principles of filtration as reverse osmosis or distillation, which do remove higher mineral content. If you test bottled mineral water, it would likely have a higher TDS rating than tap water. Just keep in mind that the TDS of nail polish remover is zero and you definitely wouldn’t want to drink that.
