The kit holds 8 two-serving pouches. You get 2 Green Chile Mac & Cheese, 2 Loaded Chicken Stew, 2 Sausage & Potato Scramble, 1 Sausage Pasta Marinara and 1 Strawberries & Cream Pudding. Each pouch is made to be prepared with hot water and eaten from the pouch.

The kit is designed to last 5 years* when stored at 50-75°F. Keep the pouches in a cool, dry spot, away from heat or damage to the packaging. * 5-year shelf life under proper storage conditions. Excess heat and/or damage to packaging may decrease shelf life.

All 8 pouches together need 12.5 cups of hot water.

This kit is a small supply. It covers 16 servings, so it fits a weekend trip or a blackout better than a long emergency. Needs vary by person. For longer stretches, look at the 2-Week or 4-Week kits.

The pouches are made on equipment that also makes products containing eggs, soy, wheat, dairy and tree nuts. If you or someone you feed has an allergy, keep that in mind. While none of our foods are certified gluten free because they're processed on shared machinery, many recipes are formulated without gluten.

The kit is handpacked in the USA at a family-owned facility in Utah. The facility is SQF-certified and registered with the USDA and FDA.

The full kit is light, about 2 pounds in total. The pouches are lightweight, so they fit in a bug-out bag or a camping pack without much bulk. You also leave the pots and pans at home.
